Slotategy
Slotategy is a roguelike deckbuilder played on a slot machine. It's heavily inspired by Balatro, and a little by Slay the Spire.
HOW IT WORKS Your deck is a set of symbols: numbers 1 to 10, bonuses, multipliers, coins and special symbols. Every unlocked slot on a 6×6 machine rolls one symbol from your deck each spin, so the more copies of a symbol you own, the more often it lands.
A spin scores SUM × MULT:
- Numbers add to the SUM. Matching numbers that touch form a group and multiply together: two 7s score 7² = 49, three score 343, four score 2,401.
- Each duplicate number on the board adds +1 MULT. Multiplier symbols add to or multiply the MULT.
- Shapes on the board (squares, lines, crosses and more) multiply the MULT again.
Each round gives you a few spins to reach a target score. Between spins you can reroll and hold symbols.
A run has 5 areas. Each area is a branching map of rounds, shops, events, high-stakes rounds and rewards, and ends with a boss that changes the rules. Between rounds you buy chips (passive effects), symbols, stickers and slot upgrades, remove or upgrade symbols, and unlock more slots anywhere on the machine.
